Tin học trong kinh doanh (EN) - K49 TATM HKD 2024
This course helps students develop skills in using common ICT applications in workplaces to
meet business requirements. Students are also equipped with knowledge to enable them to
use MS Excel effectively in other economics courses.
This course is divided into 4 parts.
a) Part 1: An overview of informatics: Provides students with basic concepts in
information technology, information systems, databases, Internet, web, e-commerce;
software types; privacy, and security.
b) Part 2: Business reports and presentations. Provides students with the skills needed to
produce a vivid and effective standard business report and presentation (using
Microsoft Word and Microsoft PowerPoint).
c) Part 3: Data representation and extraction using MS Excel: Provides students with the
ability to analyse data management requirements in Small and medium enterprises,
select and design appropriate date structure, and efficiently (e.g. accurately, quickly
and inexpensively) extract data through MS Excel functions.
d) Part 4: Analyse business data using MS Excel. Provides students with the ability to
manipulate Excel functions and tools in summarising and analysing data to solve
basic business and management problems, such as organising data, selecting

computational models and using computational results to make management
decisions.
