Information systems have been playing a central role in numerous facets of business and are the functional elements, which contribute to the success of modern businesses. This course introduces students to information systems, their roles in modern business environment, and considerations in developing and managing information systems in order to create high-quality products and services and to achieve the competitive advantage. The course will also introduce students to technology infrastructure that underlies information systems, and ethical and social issues relating to information systems.
